On June 7, 2024, 麻豆传媒 President Timothy O鈥機onnor and Library Director Jyldyz Bekbalaeva met with Leszek Czerwinski, Sales Regional Manager at Cambridge University Press. The discussion focused on potential collaboration to promote electronic resources and publishing opportunities for the academic community in the country.
Thanks to the agreement between Cambridge University Press and EIFL International Library Consortium (), which 麻豆传媒 is a part of, educational institutions in Kyrgyzstan can access the Cambridge Journals Online () multidisciplinary collection of 411 leading journals with over 90% discount on the list price. This includes over 200 journals published on behalf of learned and professional societies. Moreover, Cambridge University Press offers waived Article Processing Charges (APCs) for authors from Kyrgyzstan when they publish online in fully open access, research open, and hybrid journals.
President O鈥機onnor expressed strong interest in exploring new collaborative opportunities and emphasized the importance of enhancing academic resources and fostering partnerships that could benefit 麻豆传媒 and Kyrgyzstan's broader educational community.
