Ann Garry is professor emerita of philosophy at California State University at Los Angeles. She is the founding director of the Central for the Study of Genders and Sexualities. She has held visiting appointments as the Humphrey Chair of Feminist Philosophy at the University of Waterloo in Canada, and as a Fulbright Professor at University of Tokyo and Eötvös Loránd University in Budapest.

She was recognized the Distinguished Woman Philosopher of 2020 by the Eastern Division of the Society for Women in Philosophy. Ann Garry's area of study is Feminist Philosophy. Her works has been in feminist approaches to epistemology and philosophical methods, as well as on topics such as pornography, abortion, feminist analyses of sexuality, etc.

She is the co-editor of The Routledge Companion to Feminist Philosophy, Transgender Studies and Feminist: Theories, Politics, and Gender, Realities, and Women, Knowledge, and Reality: Explorations in Feminist Philosophy. You can find her other publications here and her CV here.
