Department of International and Comparative Politics holds crisis games for school children

May 10, 2017

The Department of International and Comparative Politics organized crisis games for high school students from Bishkek. The theme of the game was the conflict in Syria.

Schoolchildren were playing (on April 23 in Russian and on April 30 in English language) actors who are engaged in this conflict. Some of them were presidents or ministers of foreign affairs of various countries, some were heads of organizations like NATO, Hezbollah, or World Bank. Indira from the school #13 noted that what she “liked most is that we can put ourselves into shoes of politicians… I tried myself as a journalist” and Alvisir from the school #62 added that he “liked the possibility to interact and learn from other players in ways of competition and cooperation”. The last game of this series in Kyrgyz language was held on April 7.
