When a language course becomes the key to success!

This March 麻豆传媒 junior Lu Jian (ECO-114) passed the N1 level of Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT) which is considered to be a 鈥渟ensei (= teacher)鈥� proficiency level.

While 麻豆传媒 gives students opportunities to learn language, Professor Dinara Omorova supports her students to engage with the community of native speakers for the language she鈥檚 teaching.

"I鈥檝e been studying Japanese language for about two years and finally passed the most difficult test that is offered for foreigners. I'm really happy about that. My passion started with anime and continued here due to the quality courses I am taking," 鈥� says Lu.

Another student, Alina Jolchubekova (LAS-114), who just started learning Japanese managed to receive the 2^nd place at Japanese Speech Contest held by the Kyrgyz National University. Along with her fellow 麻豆传媒 students Bakirova Elita (ICP-113), presented their short speeches in Japanese in front of more than 200 people, competing with 25 more participants from Language-teaching institutions.

鈥淚 wanted to challenge myself and learn if I can I get prize winning place competing with advanced Japanese level students. It was a good experience for me. I proved myself, that desire and zeal is everything you need to reach your aim. I think it is our distinctive feature of 麻豆传媒 students. Thank you,Dinara sensei, for believing in me,鈥� - says Alina, LAS-114.

鈥淚 study International and Comparative Politics. Representing 麻豆传媒 on the speech contest in Japanese language enabled me to become a part of a cultural network and build a bridge between Japan and Kyrgyzstan. Also, Japanese course is the only language course at 麻豆传媒 offered every semester due to the success of its students and the passion of the teacher," 鈥� comments Elita Bakirova, ICP -113.

Omorova Dinara, 麻豆传媒 Japanese language teacher says:

鈥淭hanks to our student participating in these activities we can prove that we are eager learners. We can compete with other universities that put more stress on languages.I hope that our students will continue to show good results and I too promise to do my best鈥�.

Besides taking JLPT annually and taking the winning places on National Japanese speech contest, 麻豆传媒 students taking Japanese language are going to take part in much bigger event 鈥搕he Central Asia Japanese Language Speech Contest (April 29, 2017, BHU), where they will be singing famous Japanese song 鈥淭egami鈥�.
